Dream world questions
Okay, so a couple things, first of all, after waking up my stunfisk when I got done on DW yesterday, my game informed me that he had gained a level? Anyone know what may have made that happen? I've used dream world at least 10 times now, and never had that happen. Is it because I got over 500 dream points in one day? Because I used up all my berry waterings for the day? I don't know!

Which leads to my second question, today when I tried to connect to the DW, my game sync told me that "game sync has run out of energy. It will take one day to recharge." Anyone know what this is about? My brother said he had heard some others mention that, but it hasn't happened to him at all. Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help.

Edit: Thanks for the responses everyone, I figured out what the problem was. I saved on my brother's DS, so it counted that my time had been changed.

If you go to the dream world at 12PM until 1PM, and try to use gamesync to tuck in another pokemon, it wont let you. You'll have to wait for the next day around 12PM to tuck in another pokemon. It's just to limit the once a day thing

When you reach certain cumulative dream point levels, things will be unlocked. The first thing is another row to plant berries. You unlock a second area to catch pokemon at 2500 dream points.

You can only log onto Dream World again after 24 hours have passed.

Hope that helps!

Okay, I must've tried to log in right before my 24 hours was up. I was thinking I logged in at 2 yesterday, but it must've actually been a little after 2. I'll try again and see if it works.

So maybe after so many dream points, your guys can start leveling up? I don't know, but I did finally get to the sky area, so I have unlocked a couple things. It surprised the crap outta me the first time Diglett showed up in my garden.

Thanks though, this has helped!

If you look at the dream world box, it should tell you how long it will be until you can access it again. I'll usually load the page and try to enter right when it becomes available so that I can keep pretty much the same schedule every day. It's shut down for maintenance most of Tuesday, so you can kind of pick whatever time you want to access it on Wednesday.

As far as I know, your pokemon's level doesn't change in the dream world. It's just kind of your dream world level.

Glad I could help!

Yeah, I usually do that to, to try to keep it around the same time. I don't know why it's telling me I can go right now, but then the game is telling me I can't. It's a mystery to me!

And I had never heard of the level thing, but it definitely told me that, and when I checked his level back on the PC on my game again, it sure enough had gone up! I don't know how it happened, but it did. Like I said though, I've never gotten it to happen the last 11 or so times I've been on. I think my game is possessed by a Rotom or something and it's making everything go all crazy!

Hahahahaha. It's totally a Rotom!

Okay, it's still saying that I can't go on today, even though when I log into the GL website, the Dream World button says "currently available". Oh well, it's not that big of a deal, I'll just wait until tomorrow, but it IS kinda weird.

I think it does have to do with points, it has happened to me a couple of times and I think they were high point days.

I am really pissed off because I DIDN'T get to connect to dream world yesterday (constant blue screening before even the tuck in screen) and I tried again an hour and it said I it ran out of energy. ._.
I don't even know what time I have to wait until now because it never registered as going on the actual website so it has said "currently available" for a day. :(

If you gain 500 dream points before waking up your dreaming pokemon, it'll gain a level. It doesn't have to be in the same DW session, only before that 'mon returns to your DS card. (I don't know if this works in multiples--if I gain 1000 points, will my pokemon gain 2 levels? Hmm. I should try that.)

I found that my only two pokemon that gained a level in the Dream World had a heart as their current mood before waking, so that might indicate whether a level will be gained.

I think Game Sync lets you put one 'mon to bed per calendar day. If you already put one to bed and woke it up, you have to wait for midnight on your DS clock before putting another to bed. Also, if you change the time on your DS, you have to wait another 24 hours to use Game Sync.

Yeah, now that you mention it, mine had a heart as his mood thing too, so maybe that was it.

And I'm wondering if, when I used my brother's DS for poketransfer yesterday (I had Silver in my DS and white in his), if his DS's time was slightly off from mine, so that when I saved on his DS and then went back to mine, if it had counted that I had tried to change the time on the DS clock. Since maybe the game saw that when I played it on my DS again, it was a different time? That may be it, because I know for a fact that it has now been over 24 hours since I logged on yesterday (and it still won't let me on), so that's my theory for now.

Yeah, your brother's DS probably has a different time.

The answer about the level has been answered (500 Dream points in one go = one level up).

If you played in your brother's system and then saved, the Game Sync is out of whack. You must save your game in the system you plan to connect to the DW with, and then go a full 24 hours without switching systems or time. (But you can play all you would like.) Then you should be able to sync again.
shinysealeoshinysealeo on April 29th, 2011 08:54 pm (UTC)
Okay, thanks for clearing that up for me! I was starting to think this was the problem, after I remembered that I had saved on his system.
